Launchpad, exactly as it was.
macOS 26 removed Launchpad. AppPad brings back the original, and adds a clipboard, app shortcuts, workflows and window control.
Four more tools in the same menu bar icon
Each opens with its own shortcut. ⌘⇧J and ⌘⇧K move between AppPad, Clipboard and Workflows without closing anything.
Clipboard
Every text and image you copy is kept until you delete it, images even after the original file is gone. Keep the ones you reuse in Saved and paste the first ten with ⌘1–⌘0.
- ⌘. Open Clipboard
- ⌥⌘. Saved items only
- ⌘1–⌘0 Paste
- App:: Filter by app
App Shortcuts
Give any app its own global shortcut. Press it to open the app or bring it to the front, press it again to hide it.
Workflows
Press ⌘Space and type. Built-in workflows take arguments, so “timer 10” starts a ten-minute timer. Write your own with shell, AppleScript, Shortcuts or HTTP requests; scripts run in a real sandbox with the permissions you approve.
- ⌘Space Open the Workflow panel

Window control
Snap the focused window from the keyboard. Each press cycles through ½, ⅓ and ⅔, and moving to another display keeps the layout.
- ⌃⌥←Snap Left
- ⌃⌥→Snap Right
- ⌃⌥↑Snap Top
- ⌃⌥↓Snap Bottom
- ⌃⌥↩Maximize
- ⌃⌥⌫Restore
- ⌃⌥⌘↑Move to Previous Display
- ⌃⌥⌘↓Move to Next Display
Getting started
- Open the downloaded DMG and drag AppPad into Applications.
- Open AppPad. Its icon appears in the menu bar.
- To open Launchpad with a four-finger pinch, AppPad walks you through turning off two system gestures: Show Desktop first, then Apps.
- Allow Accessibility access when asked. Window control and pasting into the active app need it.
